Author and filmmaker Michael Finney has released a new speculative fiction short film and audiobook called The Fall of Tartaria on Amazon Prime as well as Audible and Spotify. The work takes place in an alternative reality that brings the Tartarian Empire to life from the murky corners of the Web.

The Tartarian Empire is an advanced people and civilization thanks to their development of a rare mineral. Tartarians have spanned the globe, growing powerful by capitalizing on the mysterious element. Their royal family has grown disconnected from the needs of their civilization due to hubris.

Portentous warnings are emerging from various factions within the empire but will they remain unheeded?

Michael Finney said, "This story has an interesting origin. It started as a collection of images, many of which are in the ebook release. I realized during the process of creating those images that a story was waiting to be told and it started to grow from there.”

Finney added, "This story has such a wealth of assets under its belt at this point and I'm looking forward to exploring the world further in the future. It has been great to add this piece to the growing list of fictional works I have available. I've been kicking ideas around to expand the setting and characters at some point."
